Designed by Kenneth Grange an industrial designer born in London in 1929.

Kenneth Grange views product design as an opportunity for innovation rather than merely as a means to aesthetic improvement, which is why he sees it as such an important part of the manufacturing process.

The Type1228 wall light is one of these innovations. The two tone shade is coloured on the outside and white on the inside giving a good working light and a pleasant ambience around the room.

The Type1228 was also the first product by Angelpoise where the shade can be rotated vertically.

ZZZOOLIGHT, the lamp that helps your children dream.

Enchanting animals will watch over your children’s sleep, as friendly guardians of light. The magic of animals is encapsulated in these original designs.
Made from polypropylene sheet, and designed by Italian architect, Ramin Razani, these white lamps are virtually unbreakable. Zzoolights do not warm up, are low voltage and are a perfectly safe lamp for your child’s night-light.

The lamps are 12 volt with an 11 watt compact fluorescent lamp which
gives a lovely bright white light. All lamps now available with an optional warm globe for a soft glow.

The compact fluorescent globe is energy efficient and has a life of approx. 6,000 hours.

Design Instinct’s ethic and style has been shaped by a number of disciplines including product design, industrial design, engineering and sculpture.  Their aim has been to synergise these influences and combine the strengths of each to create exceptional interior products; this has led to the development of a range of attractive products which have also been intelligently designed to make effective use of specific manufacturing processes.  Understanding engineering processes allows them to design products to take advantage of their strengths and avoid their weaknesses; making these methods work,  rather than hindering the design process.

While inevitably some components and materials have to be imported Design Instinct produce and source as much as the can right here in the UK, this not only reduces the carbon footprint of their products but also supports British businesses.

Born in El Salvador, Arévalo’s youthful early designs were inspired by his interest in the techniques of mass production. Inspired by the idea that we are all designers, Antonio Arevalo’s Random World is an innovative lampshade that will add

Inhabit Living

Known throughout the world as a prolific Design house, Inhabit has made a considerable impact on the world of design for the home. Basically by accident (and a printer found in the trash) founders Mike Tuttle and Jennifer Smith Tuttle turned a client’s distaste for three graphic patterns into fabric prototypes and in late 2002 Inhabit was born. Shortly after, they swore off designing for other clients to focus strictly on growing the Inhabit brand. Ever since they have been blurring the lines between design disciplines by taking their graphic-driven style out of the commercial design world and into your homes, commercial environments and public spaces.  Their products can be seen daily on television programs, read about in the most industry relevant publications but most-importantly adorning the spaces of fans everywhere – including us here at Dennis & McGregor.
