The name does not refer to just the two lights connected by an elegantly curved arch. It also creates associations to the time when the lights are lit: at twilight, on the border between light and darkness.
Twilight is made from polished stainless steel. Together the light holders play off each other, either placed side by side, offset or as an innovative 4-armed candle holder, where the small light holder is placed under the large one.
Twilight in this way creates new inspiration for modern table settings many new shapes and designs.
Lovers of design classics are in for another treat. Ever since the 1960s, bar accessories from Arne Jacobsen’s Cylinda-Line have defined the good life when it comes to serving everything from the perfect martini (shaken or stirred) to a classic scotch and soda.
Paul Smith has transformed Jacobsen’s bar series into a gorgeous fantasy in black. The special titanium alloy surface lends the steel a rich, deep black colour. Handles on the serving tray and the ice bucket remain in the original brushed steel finish, creating an effective contrast. Another surprising innovation is a collection of statements by the British designer himself, engraved into the black surface to reveal their message in steel. Walking down the Portobello Road one very dark winters morning, the original of this clock was spotted in the back of a dealers car. Still dark and relying on the beam of their torchlights, the buyers took a gamble and bought what turned out to be this impressive chrome square clock

BROBERG & RIDDERSTRÅLE ON THE DESIGN ”The Plugged pendant lamp plays with the elements most lighting armatures try to hide. Mats Broberg and Johan Ridderstråle are Swedish design and architectural partners. Their work combines an aesthetic rationality with a touch of humour and wit. Broberg & Ridderstråle have both graduated from Konstfack University of design with honours and have been awarded the Swedish Art Council working grant. Their work has successfully been exhibited in Tokyo, Milan and London.
