Stelton Vacuum Jug by Erik Magnussen

Erik Magnussen was born in 1940 in Copenhagen. Educated as a ceramist at the School of Applied Arts and Design – graduated with a silver medal in 1960.

His designs are exhibited in museums throughout the world and he has received the Lunning Prize in 1967 and the Furniture Prize in 1977. In 1983 he was chosen “designer of the year” by the Danish Design Council and his products have several times received the ID-prize by the Danish Society of Industrial Design.

Erik Magnussen’s classic vacuum jug is now available in an updated version with a new function. Designed for Stelton in 1977, the prize-winning jug now comes as a press coffee maker in four different finishes – steel, black, white or red plastic.
The press coffee maker brews up to 8 cups. Its double walls and simple open/close function keep coffee hot for a long time. To serve, grasp the knob and turn the lid open; close by turning the lid back. The jug comes complete with measuring spoon and instructions for a unique taste experience with every cup.
